Frequently asked questions

Where can I see stand-up comedy in London?

Comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store, Soho Theatre’s downstairs space, Top Secret Comedy Club and Angel Comedy run shows most nights. Touring comedians play larger venues such as the Eventim Apollo and, for the very biggest names, The O2.

What is a work-in-progress comedy show?

It is a show where a comedian tests new material in front of an audience, often ahead of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe or a tour. Expect a looser, less polished set, with the comedian sometimes reading from notes.

How do I get to the Eventim Apollo?

The Eventim Apollo is on Queen Caroline Street, a few minutes’ walk from Hammersmith Tube stations, served by the District, Piccadilly, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines. More details in our guide to getting to the Eventim Apollo.
