Frequently asked questions

Where can I read concert reviews before buying a ticket?

On the artist or date page on MyCritik: reviews from fans who attended earlier dates of the tour are gathered there, along with the average rating. Check the venue page too, which shows comfort, view and access as rated by the audience: it helps when choosing between standing and seated tickets.

Are concert reviews verified?

When posting, the author declares that they attended the concert, but MyCritik does not check tickets, and says so clearly in its review policy. However, a review can only be posted once the performance has started, only one review is allowed per person and per date, and no review is ever bought or commissioned. Texts are filtered automatically and any review can be reported.

Can I rate each act on a multi-artist bill separately?

Yes. When several artists share the bill (support act, line-up, festival night), you can add an optional rating for each of them on top of the overall rating for the night. A support act that impressed you can then be recognised on its own page.

Why does the venue have a different rating from the concert?

Because a brilliant concert can take place in a venue that is hard to get to, uncomfortable or acoustically difficult, and vice versa. A venue’s rating is calculated from the common criteria (comfort, view, access, value for money), regardless of the artist’s performance.

How long does a concert last?

It depends on the genre, the artist and whether there is a support act. The “Length” criterion in reviews shows whether the audience found the show too short or just right, which is handy when planning your journey home.
