What’s on in Manchester
Arena tours, theatre, comedy and club gigs across Manchester, with ratings from the audience.
Manchester now has two of the largest indoor arenas in the country, Co-op Live on the Etihad Campus and the AO Arena above Victoria station, so most major tours stop here. Live music is only part of the picture, though.
On the theatre side, the Palace Theatre and the Opera House take the big touring musicals and plays, while the Royal Exchange Theatre stages its own productions in a theatre-in-the-round built inside the former cotton exchange. HOME, near Deansgate, mixes theatre, film and art, and Aviva Studios, the home of Factory International, has hosted large-scale shows since it opened in 2023. For comedy, the Frog and Bucket in the Northern Quarter is a long-standing stand-up club.
Most venues are within walking distance of each other or a short Metrolink tram ride from Piccadilly and Victoria stations. This page lists upcoming dates across all types of show; for gigs only, see concerts in Manchester.
The audience ratings help you choose between two shows on the same night, and between two very different venues. Been to something recently? Leave a review in a couple of minutes.
