Funky Munks - Celebrating 35th Anniversary of Blood Sugar Sex Magik

BLOOD SUGAR SEX MAGIK performed in full by local RHCP tribute band FUNKY MUNKS

September 1991. Four Californians walked into The Mansion with producer Rick Rubin and came out with one of the greatest alternative rock albums ever recorded.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik wasn't just an album - it was a statement. Twenty-four years after the Summer of Love, the Red Hot Chili Peppers fused punk, funk, soul and pure Californian attitude into a record that would launch them onto the world stage and soundtrack an entire generation.

Now, 35 years later, local RHCP tribute FUNKY MUNKS celebrate this landmark release with a full live performance of the album from beginning to end.

Expect every track, from the opening groove of The Power of Equality through If You Have to Ask, Breaking the Girl, Suck My Kiss, I Could Have Lied, Give It Away, Under the Bridge, Sir Psycho Sexy, right through to They're Red Hot.
No greatest hits set. No shortcuts. Just one iconic album, played in full, loud and proud.
Whether you wore out the CD in the '90s or discovered it years later, this is your chance to relive one of rock's defining records as it deserves to be heard ... live, sweaty and full of funk.
