Ciyaal Fish & Chips : Somali Independence Day Special - London

Somali Independence Day, celebrated on 1 July, marks the historic moment in 1960 when the former British and Italian-administered Somali territories came together to form the independent Somali Republic. It remains an important celebration of Somali history, culture and national identity.

Celebrate Somali Independence Day with CIYAAL FISH & CHIPS – a special edition of the comedy night showcasing some of the funniest Somali voices on the UK comedy circuit.

Featuring a full Somali line-up of comedians, the show is performed in English and is open to everyone.

Acts:

Diesel (Comedy Central Live, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Wise Fools)
Bamph (Wise Fools, Urban Storyteller with a Punchy Edge)
Prince Abdi (Comedy Central, ITV)
Mo Ali (A Fresh Voice in Comedy)

Expect a night of sharp stand-up, big personalities, hilarious stories and observations about family, relationships, work, growing up in Britain, cultural misunderstandings and everyday life.

This special show brings everyone together to mark Somali Independence Day with a night of comedy, culture and celebration.

The comedians may share a Somali background, but the laughs are universal.

You don’t need to be Somali, speak Somali or know anything about Somali culture to enjoy the show. CIYAAL FISH & CHIPS is about bringing people together for a great night of live comedy.

Whether you come with friends, family, colleagues or on your own, expect a welcoming atmosphere, a brilliant line-up and plenty of laughs as we celebrate Somali Independence Day together.
