About
Celebrating 40 Years of Clutching at Straws
In 1987, Marillion released Clutching at Straws, the final studio album of the Fish era and a defining British progressive rock record.
Forty years later, StillMarillion celebrate its legacy with “Still Clutching in 2027”.
Formed in Scotland in 2008, StillMarillion have spent nearly two decades bringing classic Fish-era Marillion to audiences across the UK and Europe.
Fronted by Martin Jakubski, also vocalist with the Steve Rothery Band, the group captures the sound, atmosphere and emotion of the original band.
In 2027, StillMarillion will perform Marillion’s Clutching at Straws in full, including “Hotel Hobbies”, “Warm Wet Circles”, “That Time of the Night”, “White Russian”, “Incommunicado”, “Sugar Mice” and “The Last Straw”.
The show will also feature favourites from Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood.
Four decades on, some things never do...
