Parking at the 3Olympia Theatre, Dame Street, Dublin

There's no car park at the Olympia, and Dame Street isn't a street you want to circle at 7pm. Five car parks sit within about five minutes' walk, though, and one of them gives a theatre discount. Pick one before you leave home.

• APCOA Trinity Street, just off Dame Street, about 5 minutes away. Open 6am to 1am Monday to Saturday, 8am to 1am Sundays and bank holidays.
• APCOA Jervis Street, across the Liffey, about 5 minutes away. Same hours as Trinity Street.
• Park Rite Fleet Street, in Temple Bar, about 5 minutes away. Open 24 hours, but the shutters close at midnight. With a ticket you can still get out through the pedestrian door. Pre-booking online only.

Watch the closing times

A standing gig with a 9pm headliner and an encore can easily finish after 11pm. If you've parked at Trinity Street or Jervis Street, they shut at 1am, which is fine unless you head for a drink afterwards. On a late show (doors 11pm), use Drury Street or Christchurch, both open 24/7.

Blue Badge and accessible parking

Holders of a Disabled Person's Parking Permit can use the bays on East Essex Street, right behind the theatre beside the Dollard & Co building, or on Castle Street: from Dame Street, turn left at City Hall. The Stalls are step-free; there's no lift to the upper levels. A duty manager meets you on arrival and brings you in through the accessible entrance.
