All dates and reviews

The Ulster Hall has no car park, and its own list of nearby options is out of date. The Dublin Road car park on Hardcastle Street, one of the two multi-storeys the venue names, was closed by NCP's administrators in April 2026, and the owner had not said if or when it would reopen. Plan on something else.

The car parks to use

  • Great Northern car park, Great Victoria Street, run by ParkMe: the venue's other recommendation, nearby, with dedicated accessible spaces.
  • The multi-storey behind the Europa Hotel, entered from Sandy Row and Hope Street: open until 1am Monday to Saturday and 11pm on Sunday, according to the Grand Opera House next door.
  • Value Car Parks, Grosvenor Road: 575 spaces, open until 1am. Visit Belfast lists an evening rate of £6 for entry after 5pm, exit by 1am; check the board on arrival.

The venue says these car parks are independently run and can occasionally be unavailable, so have a plan B on big nights.

Free evening parking

Belfast City Council's charged car parks are generally free outside 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and all day Sunday. On-street pay and display in the centre follows the same pattern. The two exceptions to watch are Bankmore Street and Smithfield: both keep charging.

Our advice: for a 7.30pm show, a free meter space after 6pm beats any multi-storey, if you find one. Give yourself time to circle, then eat nearby; see where to eat near the Ulster Hall.

Blue Badge holders and drop-off

The Ulster Hall has designated drop-off points for visitors with access needs; ask customer service (028 9033 4455) where to stop for your show. Northern Ireland's Blue Badge rules help in the city centre:

  • On-street pay and display: free with no time limit, unless a local order sets one.
  • On-street disabled bays: free, no time limit unless signs say otherwise.
  • Yellow lines: up to three hours where safe, but not within 15 metres of a junction or where loading restrictions apply.
  • Council and private car parks: the badge gets you the disabled bays, not free parking.

Entry to the hall is at street level and lifts serve every floor. For where the accessible seats are, see best seats at the Ulster Hall.

Or skip the car

City Hall's buses and Gliders are two minutes away, and Grand Central station a short walk; details in getting to the Ulster Hall.
