What’s on in Sheffield
Plays, musicals, comedy and gigs in Sheffield, from Tudor Square to the arena, rated by the audience.
Sheffield’s cultural life is centred on Tudor Square, where the Crucible and the Lyceum stand side by side. This page lists every upcoming show in the city in date order, with the average rating the audience gave earlier performances.
The venues you will meet most often:
- the Crucible, a thrust-stage theatre known for its own productions, and famous every spring as the home of the World Snooker Championship;
- the Lyceum, a restored traditional theatre next door, which takes touring musicals, drama, dance and pantomime;
- Sheffield City Hall, on Barker’s Pool, for concerts, comedy and talks;
- the Utilita Arena Sheffield, in the Lower Don Valley, for arena tours and comedy headliners.
The city-centre venues are within walking distance of each other and of the Supertram, which also runs out to the arena. Venue ratings for comfort, view and access are shown separately from the show, which helps if you are choosing seats at the Crucible for the first time.
