Dolan’s, Live at the Castle, University Concert Hall: upcoming gigs in Limerick and what the audience thought of them.
Limerick’s gig calendar revolves around Dolan’s, on Dock Road, open since 1994. It has three rooms under one roof: Dolan’s Warehouse, which holds 380, and two smaller spaces, Upstairs and the Kasbah. Dolan’s also promotes Live at the Castle, a season of concerts at King John’s Castle, on King’s Island beside the River Shannon, from early May into the summer.
The other venues that come up most often in the listings:
- Thomond Park, the Munster rugby ground, which hosts a few stadium concerts each July;
- University Concert Hall, on the University of Limerick campus at Plassey, a 1,000-seat hall and home of the Irish Chamber Orchestra;
- the Lime Tree Theatre, a 510-seat theatre on the Mary Immaculate College campus, on the South Circular Road.
This page lists upcoming concerts in Limerick with the artist’s average rating and reviews from earlier dates of the tour. Venue criteria (comfort, view, access) are rated separately, which helps when you are choosing between a standing gig at Dolan’s and a seat at University Concert Hall.
