Best seats at the 3Arena, Dublin - blocks, standing and tips

By The MyCritik editorial team · information checked on 15 October 2026 · 2 min read

The 3Arena hides inside the facade of the old Point Depot, a railway goods building. When it was rebuilt as The O2 in 2008, the architects turned it into a fan: seats wrap around the stage like a small Roman amphitheatre, and nobody sits more than about 60 metres away. Holds 9,300 seated, or 13,000 with a standing floor.

Standing floor or seats

General Admission (GA) is the standing floor in front of the stage. It is for over-14s only, at every show. If you want the barrier, queue early: the box office opens at 6.30pm on show nights and the floor fills from the front.

If you'd rather see than be close, take a seat. Because of the fan shape, a seat square-on to the stage in the lower tier often beats standing halfway back on a packed floor, especially if you are not tall. Booking tip from the venue: when you pick seats on Ticketmaster, untick standing so you get the seat you chose.

Which block

The plan has the stage at one end and the blocks fanning out in front of it:

  • Blocks A to G form the lower tier. Our pick: the central ones, facing the stage head-on. The venue also recommends this tier for anyone with mobility issues or vertigo.
  • Blocks H to P sit further back and higher. The venue warns that the higher sections may not suit people with vertigo.

Fans' reports suggest the middle of a block gives the straightest view, while the sides give a better look at the crowd. In the very front row of some blocks, a safety rail and plexiglass can sit in your eyeline. Download the seating and standing PDFs from the venue site to check your block before you buy.

Accessible seating

The accessible seats are on the first floor, reached by lift. Book them online in advance, or at the box office on the night if any remain. Wheelchairs are not permitted on the ground floor during shows. One 2025 reviewer on Euan's Guide called the view "brilliant", but people standing in the row in front blocked it until stewards stepped in. Speak up if that happens. Before you go in

  • Bags up to 40 x 40 x 20 cm only, no large rucksacks.
  • No cloakroom, so leave the big coat in the car or hotel.
  • No re-entry: once you leave, you are out.
  • No food inside beyond snacks, so eat first: see where to eat near the 3Arena.

Plan the way home too, with getting to the 3Arena and parking at the 3Arena. After the show, write a review.
