Getting to OVO Arena Wembley by public transport
By The MyCritik editorial team · information checked on 12 October 2026
OVO Arena Wembley, the former Wembley Arena, stands next to Wembley Stadium in north-west London and holds around 12,500 people. The area is designed for big crowds and is well served by public transport: three stations are within walking distance, on four different Tube and rail lines. The one thing to watch is the calendar, because the arena's events can coincide with a match or concert at the stadium next door.
By Tube: Wembley Park (Jubilee and Metropolitan lines)
The most convenient station is Wembley Park, in Zone 4, on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines. The arena puts it at about a 10-minute walk, mostly along Olympic Way, the wide pedestrian route towards the stadium.
- The Jubilee line links Wembley Park with Bond Street, Westminster, Waterloo and London Bridge. Wembley Park estimates the journey from Bond Street at about 19 minutes.
- The Metropolitan line has fewer stops: many people change onto it at Baker Street (about 12 minutes to Wembley Park, according to Wembley Park) or Finchley Road.
By train: Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central
- Wembley Stadium station is served by Chiltern Railways from London Marylebone (about 9 minutes, according to Wembley Park). It is a good option if you are coming from Marylebone or from Chiltern's routes north-west of London.
- Wembley Central, about a 15-minute walk from the arena, is served by the Bakerloo line and the London Overground, and by Southern trains towards Watford Junction and Milton Keynes.
By bus
Wembley Park lists bus routes 83, 92, 182, 206, 223, 297 and 483 among those serving the area, as well as night routes such as the N83. The arena itself simply says that several services run nearby and points to TfL. Routes change regularly, so check your journey on the TfL Journey Planner.
Arena and stadium on the same day
The arena warns that events can start near rush hour or coincide with events at Wembley Stadium. When that happens, Wembley Park station and Olympic Way are far busier than usual, and you should expect queues at the station. Check the stadium's calendar before you set off, and allow extra time.
Getting home after the show
Wembley Park station gets very busy as the arena empties, so expect to wait a little before boarding. If the queue is long, Wembley Stadium (Chiltern) and Wembley Central (Bakerloo and Overground) are alternatives, depending on where you are heading. The Jubilee line has a Night Tube service on Friday and Saturday nights; on other nights, check the time of the last train for your journey on the TfL Journey Planner and, for Chiltern or Southern, on National Rail Enquiries.
Step-free access
According to the arena:
- at Wembley Park, lifts run from the platforms to the ticket hall and to street level. The Metropolitan line has a small step and gap that most wheelchair users can manage; on the Jubilee line a manual boarding ramp is needed, so let TfL staff know at your departure station;
- Wembley Central has lifts to the platforms, but no level access onto Bakerloo and Overground trains;
- at Wembley Stadium, call Chiltern Railways in advance so that a ramp is ready; lifts serve the platforms.
Lifts are sometimes taken out of service for works: check TfL's step-free information on the day. Inside the arena, a public lift gives level access from the foyer to the wheelchair spaces. The drop-off and pick-up point is on Lakeside Way, by the South West entrance.
